MB-44 v2 refines the original 2021 model with precise engineering updates tailored for 2025 standards. The case’s tolerances have been tightened to deliver a premium fit and finish. 

Key improvements include:

• Reduced effective key height (22.2mm vs. 24.6mm)
• Upgraded STM32 PCB replacing the ATmega MCU
• Switch from the C3 to the S1 variant of the Unified Daughter Board.
• Plate mounting updated to implement Geon's Tadpoles from standard top mount.

Additionally, the redesigned PCB and bottom case cavity minimize reverberations, while the brass interior cover plate and accent weight enhance sound dampening and conceal the UDB cable, elevating both acoustics and aesthetics.

Quality Notice:

The interior chamfer of the top piece has a slight lip at the bottom. We find that this is quite difficult to notice; however,  we want to inform customers of this as this was not present on the prototype units used for marketing the project.

In addition to the variance in the interior chamfer, B-stock units have minor exterior defects as shown in the images below. By purchasing a B-stock unit, the customer understands and accepts the quality defects.
